Steve Bentley
 |
The founder of Dark Talisman Productions, Steve is a
versatile young man. Writing, producing, and directing is only
the beginning for Steve! He is also a talented actor and special
effects artist, often juggling these many hats in a single production.
Concerning his acting work, Steve has said, "I don't mind acting in my films if
I have the time, but sometimes it does make it harder to do the director's job.
I've acted in several of Matt Jenkins' Dented Head Productions, as well as many
of ours. I guess I'm either the cheapest actor I know, or I'm at least always
going to be on the set." Actually, Steve is a great actor with an excellent
sense of both dramatic and comedic timing. And he's modest, too! |
Jefferson Scott Maxwell
 |
Jefferson is a professional actor who has starred in several
low-budget/ high-concept features such as Shades of Grey,
Time will Tell, and the hysterical
Guns on the Clackamas. Featured as Branigan
in Confession, Jeff brought his incredible
talent and professionalism to every aspect of this feature. |
Andrea Bruce
|
Andrea is a part-time actress and full-time socialworker. Only
her sensitive understanding of an actress' role could have brought
Nurse Amanda Pritchard to life! Andrea is a dear friend of Steve
Bentley's and they have worked on many projects together for both
Dark Talisman and Dented Head. "The best thing about working with
Steve", she has said "is that you can just see all of these things
flashing through his mind, and when he brings them on-screen,
it's just magic! His enthusiasm is infectious, and if you work with
him, you become infected. It's great!" Andrea was the PA on
Confession and wrote additional dialogue for
Contamination, and Images after Midnight. |
John Frazier
|
John is a professional actor working in the Chicago area
now, but he got some of his first movie experience on
Dark Talisman movies like Contamination and
Confession. A great actor, John shows off his
perfect comedic timing as well as his darker side in these films
respectively. "John was a find. I would put him in any film I could",
Steve Bentley has said. |
Mike Keesee
 |
As Mikey in Confession, Mike Keesee showed a
lot of enthusiasm and good humor, but still regrets that he
didn't get to kill anyone on-screen. Mike is the producer of
a news show in Texas, now. "That punk", says Steve "I'd kill
him if he wasn't so much fun to work with! Seriously, though,
Mike is one of my good friends now, and I would do anything for him." |
Eric Bradford
 |
Eric is a trained opera singer, and met Steve while working
on the John Frazier directed play Dark Side.
Eric is a truly talented guy who gave a strong performance in
Confession. Steve hopes to work with Eric again
very soon. A brief bit of trivia, the blonde girl in the purple
shirt that Steve saves in the alley is now Eric's wife! Congratulations,
Mr. and Mrs. Bradford! |
Jack Wheeler
 |
Jack is another professional actor who took the part of Sgt.
Jack Powers for the fun of it and later said it was one of the
most satisfying and fun roles he had taken up to that point.
"I originally wrote the part of Mikey in Confession
for Jack to play, but he had other obligations that conflicted
with our schedule. I would love to work with Jack again, on
any project." - Steve Bentley |
Gary Beatty
 |
Steve met Gary while serving in the Army during Desert Storm!
Still great friends, Gary now lives in New York where he has pursued
his military career in the Air Force. Gary took many minor
(and some major) roles in Dark Talisman movies, including the villain
in Shadowman. Watch for his cameo in
Confession. |
Becky Smith
|
You can hear Becky on the radio every morning in Wichita Falls, Texas,
but very early in her career, she starred in Shadowman.
"Becky was a trooper through a very hard shoot, I thought she was nice
and very intelligent. Great kid."- Steve Bentley |
